20 Things My Parents Taught Me in 20 Years

1- Clean up after yourself because you sure as hell won’t want to do it later. 

2- Spring for the good meat at the grocery store, life is way too short for tough chicken or gross hamburgers. 

3- Less is more, unless it’s Just For Me pink hair cream, then more is more (and probably not enough). 

4- Money isn’t everything, and the best things in life are free. 

5- Music can cure almost every mood. 

6- There are a million ways to make ramen noodles. 

7- Blood is thicker than water. 

8- There is no stomach ache that Tums, Club Crackers, and flat Sprite cannot cure. 

9- Stop to look around every once in awhile. You’ll be surprised at what you’re missing. 

10- It’s ok to be emotional and cry, as long as you clean yourself up and keep on going. 

11- Treat your dog the way you would want to be treated. 

12- A little goes a long way, and a dollar can stretch. 

13- It’s not enough to just work hard, you have to work the hardest. 

14- If you feel like you aren’t enough, it’s probably a them problem not a you problem. 

15- There’s always a catch. 

16- Speak up for what you believe in and what you want, because people will just assume that you’re perfectly fine in your situation. 

17- Life will never be easy but you shouldn’t ever shy away from a challenge. 

18- Always be prepared for the apocalypse (with water, food, extra clothes, a blanket, a jacket, a flash light, etc.)

19- You never know what’s going to happen and you can’t control it, but you can control how you react to it. 

20- Life is short, do what makes you happy.
